Section 1-1. The purpose of the law
The purpose of the Act is:
a.
to ensure a working environment that provides the basis for a health-promoting and meaningful working situation, that provides complete security against physical and psychological harm, and with a welfare standard that is at all times in accordance with the technological and social development in society,
b.
to ensure safe employment conditions and equal treatment in working life,
c.
to facilitate a good speech climate in the business,
d.
to facilitate adaptations in the working relationship linked to the individual employee’s prerequisites and life situation,
e.
to provide a basis for the employer and the employees in the enterprises themselves to look after and develop their working environment in cooperation with the partners of working life and with the necessary guidance and control from public authorities,
f.
to contribute to an inclusive working life.
